The company Hilscher provides CIF (Computer InterFace) cards for many fieldbus systems.
The cards have a own intelligence and are interfaced to the host computer using a dual ported RAM.
Here we show howto interface pvbrowser with PROFIBUS
PROFIBUS is configured using the tool "SyCon" from Hilscher. Thus you define the locations of the process variables within the dual ported RAM on the CIF card.
Here we show a simple pvserver that accesses PROFIBUS. Access is done using rlHilscherCIF from rllib.
